Have you ever looked at a map of Canada and felt that familiar itch in your throttle hand? We certainly have. For years, we’ve been dreaming of taking the Moto Junkies spirit across the Atlantic, swapping our beloved Welsh slate for the towering granite of the Rockies. Well, the wait is almost over. We are absolutely buzzing to finally announce the newest addition to our BIG ADVENTURE TOURS line-up: The Big Canadian Adventure 2027!
This isn't just another ride; it’s the ultimate motorcycle tour Canada has to offer, designed specifically for those of you who want to see the world from the seat of a bike, surrounded by a community of like-minded legends. We’re talking about thousands of miles of sweeping pavement, epic Canadian highways, the occasional detour onto the rougher stuff, and views that are so stunning they’ll make you forget to breathe for a second.
Whether you’ve joined us for The Big Welsh Adventure or you’ve just got back from The Big South African Adventure, you know how we roll. We don't do "ordinary." We do epic. And Canada? Canada is as epic as it gets.
Why Canada? Why Now?
You might be wondering why we’ve set our sights on the Great White North for 2027. It’s simple, really. Canada is the spiritual home of adventure. It’s a land of extremes: massive mountains, ancient forests that seem to go on forever, and a sense of scale that’s hard to wrap your head around until you’re standing right in the middle of it.
For us, the draw is the sheer scale of the ride. British Columbia and Alberta are home to some of the most spectacular roads on the planet, with huge mountain highways, sweeping bends, and endless big-sky views that are just begging to be explored on a bike. We wanted to create a tour that captures that raw, wild feeling of the frontier, while mostly sticking to the tarmac and keeping the support and camaraderie that makes a Moto Junkies trip so special.

Big Canadian landscapes, proper mountain roads, and the kind of scenery that makes you want to keep riding till sunset.
What to Expect: Mountains, Glaciers, and Big Skies
We got back from our recent recce run in 2026, and honestly... Canada has properly got under our skin. We’ve been out there riding the Kootenays, checking road after road, and making sure this tour isn’t built from a map and a bit of guesswork. It’s been ridden, tested, and hand-picked by us, mile by mile.
One spot that really stuck with us is Kaslo, often called the Little Switzerland of the Kootenays. It’s exactly the sort of place that makes you stop, take your lid off, and just grin for a minute. Gorgeous mountain backdrop, brilliant roads in and out, and that lovely tucked-away feel that makes you think, “Yep... this is why we came.”
So when we say the 2027 route is special, we mean it. Every mile of this tour has been chosen to give you the perfect mix of sweeping curves, proper rider’s roads, and epic scenery. No filler. No boring slogs. Just the sort of roads that make you want to turn round and ride them again.
The Sea-to-Sky Highway: We’ll start with some of the most iconic pavement in the world, winding our way from the ocean up into the high mountains.
The Highways You Dream About: We’re aiming for those proper bucket-list riding roads. Think big sweepers, dramatic climbs, tight switchbacks, and reward views of turquoise glacial lakes that look like they’ve been Photoshopped.
Backroad Gems: We’ll be linking up epic highways with quieter scenic roads, skipping the dull bits and finding the hidden gems that only the locals (and now you!) know about.
The air out there is different when you’ve just ridden it yourself. It’s crisp, pine-scented, and so clean it feels like a tonic. One minute you’re carving through a lush, green rainforest, and the next you’re above the treeline, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and glaciers that have been there for millennia.

*Kaslo, the Little Switzerland of the Kootenays — one of those places that makes you stop, look around, and think: this route is going to be something special.*
Meeting the Locals (The Furry Kind)
You can’t talk about a motorcycle tour Canada without mentioning the wildlife. This is bear country, through and through. We’ll be riding through territories shared by Black Bears and the legendary Grizzlies. Seeing a bear from the safety of your bike (at a respectful distance, of course!) is a heart-pounding experience you’ll never forget.
But it’s not just bears. Keep your eyes peeled for:
Elk and Moose: These giants often hang out by the roadside or in marshy clearings.
Bald Eagles: Look up! You’ll often see them soaring over the rivers looking for salmon.
Bighorn Sheep: They love the rocky outcrops and aren't shy about crossing the road right in front of you.
Don’t worry, we’ll give you a full briefing on "Bear Etiquette" before we head out. We’re guests in their home, after all!

One of the locals doing what locals do best — a brilliant reminder that this really is wild country.

Is This Tour For You?
Our BIG ADVENTURE TOURS are designed for riders who love big miles, brilliant roads, and unforgettable scenery. This one is very much a road trip, so you should be comfortable spending full days in the saddle and enjoying long stretches of tarmac, with only the odd rougher section here and there.
If you’re feeling a bit rusty or just want to sharpen up before 2027, don't sweat it! We’ve got plenty of time before then. Why not come and see us at MotoCamp Wales for some 121 Training or join us for some ROAD TRAINING? We’ll help you get your riding smooth, confident, and ready for those epic Canadian highways.
We love a mixed group: men, women, solo riders, and groups of mates are all welcome. The goal is always the same: ride hard, laugh a lot, and make memories that’ll last a lifetime.
The Moto Junkies Way
What sets a Moto Junkies tour apart? It’s the vibe. We aren't a corporate travel agency; we’re a bunch of bike-mad enthusiasts who love sharing our passion. When you book with us, you’re joining the family.
In Canada, that means we’ll be handling all the logistics. We’ll sort the bike rentals (top-spec ADV machines, obviously), the accommodation, and the route. All you have to do is show up, ride, and enjoy the scenery. We’ll even shout you a few "Canuck" brews at the end of a long day’s ride!
Speaking of ends of days... picture this: The sun is dipping behind a jagged peak, the bikes are cooling down with that satisfying "tink-tink" sound, and we’re all gathered around a crackling campfire by a silent lake. That’s the magic of the Big Canadian Adventure.
Sweeping roads, huge views, and mile after mile of proper riding country — exactly what this Canadian road trip is all about.
Prep Your Passport (and Your Sense of Adventure)
2027 might seem like a long way off, but these big tours fill up fast. We like to keep our groups small to ensure everyone has a great time and stays safe, so once the bookings open, you’ll want to move quick.
In the meantime, keep an eye on our Gallery for more inspiration and follow us on social media for the latest updates. We’ll be sharing more details about the specific itinerary, the bikes we’ll be using, and the dates as we get closer.
If you have any questions: or if you just want to tell us how much you fancy a trip to Canada: give us a shout! You can reach Steph and the team through our Contact Page. We love a chat about bikes and big trips.

The sort of big-sky backdrop that stays with you long after the ride is over.
