ABOUT US

Finding Inspiration in Every Ride

In 2014 Steph Jeavons left the UK on a 4 year mission to ride around the world on her Honda CRF250L (Rhonda). Steph achieved her ambition of riding on all 7 continents and returned to Wales in 2018. In 2021 Steph set up her trail riding company MOTO Junkies and it was an immediate success. With the acquisition of an 18 acre site in the Snowdonia national park, MOTO Junkies now has its base, MotoCamp Wales, a haven for bikers, hikers, mountain bikers and lovers of the outdoors. We have a fleet of hire bikes (Honda CRFs & Royal Enfield Himalayan 450s), an on-site workshop, accommodation in lodges & camping pods and room for tents and camper vans.

OUR STORY

MOTO Junkies has been created so Steph and her team can share the spirit of adventure with others who have a passion for the outdoors and 2 wheels. We are a team of dedicated motorcyclists who share our knowledge and experience to help riders build their skills on and off road and prepare them for their own adventures.

A Journey of Passion and Adventure

Moto Junkies was founded in 2021 by Steph Jeavons, a seasoned adventurer renowned for her global motorcycle expeditions. The company was born out of Steph's desire to share her passion for motorcycling and the outdoors with like-minded individuals. Her journey began in 2014 when she embarked on a four-year mission to ride around the world on her Honda CRF250L, affectionately named Rhonda. During this adventure, she achieved the remarkable feat of riding on all seven continents, returning to Wales in 2018 with a wealth of experience and a deep appreciation for the global motorcycling community.

What started as a small operation with a couple of bikes and a van has rapidly grown into a thriving business. We now offer guided motorcycle tours across Wales, England, Scotland, Ireland, Portugal, the Pyrenees, India, Morocco and Canada. Additionally, Moto Junkies provides motorcycle training, bike hire, and a range of accommodation options at our base, MotoCamp Wales.

MotoCamp Wales: The Heart of Moto Junkies

MotoCamp Wales serves as the cornerstone of Moto Junkies' operations. Located on an 18-acre site in Dolgellau, Snowdonia, the camp offers a variety of accommodations, including lodges, camping pods, and camping facilities. The site is strategically positioned near the Trans Euro Trail, Cadair Idris mountain, and Coed-Y-Brenin Mountain Bike Park, making it an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts.

Beyond providing lodging, MotoCamp Wales fosters a vibrant community of riders. The Moto Junkies Motorcycle Club (MJMC) offers members exclusive events, discounts, and opportunities to engage in group rides and training sessions. The club also supports local initiatives, including fundraising for the Welsh Air Ambulance service, and promotes environmental stewardship and respect for the Snowdonia region.

The Philosophy of Moto Junkies

At its core, Moto Junkies is driven by a philosophy of adventure, community, and personal growth. We aim to inspire individuals to embrace the freedom of the open road, develop their riding skills, and connect with a supportive network of fellow enthusiasts. Through our tours, training programs, and events, Moto Junkies encourages riders to step out of their comfort zones, explore new terrains, and build lasting memories. The emphasis on inclusivity, environmental respect, and community engagement reflects our commitment to fostering a positive and sustainable motorcycling culture.

Moto Junkies' journey from a solo adventure to a thriving community hub exemplifies the transformative power of following one's passion and the impact of sharing that passion with others. With a focus on adventure, skill development, and community, Moto Junkies continues to inspire riders to embark on their own journeys and become part of a global network united by the love of motorcycling.
