ITINERARY

DAY 1  |  FLY TO CALGARY

Fly to Calgary and meet us at your first hotel in the heart of this friendly city. Calgary is a great place to explore if you fancy stretching your legs after the flight. We will meet for dinner in the evening and discuss the trip ahead.

DAY 2  |  CALGARY TO FERNIE | 185 miles

Today we pick up our bikes and head south out of Alberta. Our first stop is Fernie. A pretty little town in the Southeast of British Columbia and surrounded by the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Option of some unpaved gravel roads or sealed all the way.

DAY 3 |  FERNIE TO KASLO  | 200 miles

Our destination today is on the edge of Kootenay Lake and one of Steph's all-time favourite places. We stay in the wonderful Kaslo Hotel in the heart of the town. This elegantly updated heritage property on the shores of Kootenay Lake is as beatiful on the inside as it is on the outside. This day has an option to be all road, or to include a more adventurous short cut over the unpaved high altitude Grey Creek Pass (weather permitting).

DAY 4  |  ENJOY KASLO

The roads around here are spectacular so we felt it worth staying a day and exploring. A route will be offered on your GPS should you wish to self navigate a great road loop that takes you via Nelson and the south end of the twisty 3A. If you fancy a day on foot, you won't find a better spot to walk and submerse yourself in nature.

DAY 5 |  KASLO TO NAKUSP | 115 miles

Today, after a leisurely breakfast, we head North around Trout Lake on a beautiful unpaved road lined with wilderness that envelopes you as you go. If you prefer, there is a short road ride direct to Nakusp that has an unbelievable amount of beautiful bends.

DAY 6  |  NAKUSP TO PENTICTON  | 200 miles

Today we enjoy a relaxed ride along the shores of Arrow Lake to catch the Fauquier ferry, before climbing over the Monashee Pass and descending into the Okanagan Valley to our overnight stop in Penticton.

DAY 7  |  PENTICTON TO VANCOUVER | 250 miles

We leave Penticton and pick up the beatuiful Highway 3A and 3 towards Hope. From there we ride through the suburbs into the wonderful city of Vancouver.

DAY 8  |  EXPLORE VANCOUVER

Explore the city of glass and steel at your leisure. You will find seaplane rides available from the harbour, great music in town and wonderful food options just about everywhere.

DAY 9  |  VANCOUVER TO TOFINO | 200 miles

Leaving the mainland behind, we cross to Vancouver Island by ferry over the Strait of Georgia, ready to ride from East to West across one of Canada's wildest landscapes. This is true rainforest country. Towering cedars line the road, the air rich with forest scents and the sense of remoteness builds with every mile. Pacific Rim Highway 4 winds its way over the spine of Vancouver Island Mountains before spilling out to the open ocean and the laid-back surf town of Tofino. A spectacular day in the saddle - one of those roads you'll be talking about long after the ride is over.

DAY 10  |  RELAX IN TOFINO

Join us for a boat ride along the coast to do a spot of whale and bear watching. Spend the rest of your day checking out this beautiful area by foot, or on two-wheels.

DAY 11  | TOFINO TO WHISTLER | 230 miles

Tofino has just one road in and one road out. Thankfully it's worth doing twice! Today we head back to the mainland and enjoy a beautiful ride up to Whistler via the famous Sea to Sky Highway.

DAY 12  | WHISTLER TO CLEARWATER  | 260 miles

An unforgettable ride along the Duffy Lakes Road, where smooth pavement and sweeping turns guide you through stunning landscapes filled with rivers, waterfalls and majestic forested mountains. The scenery shifts to gentle rolling grasslands and picturesque forests of pine and aspen, with lakes dotting the route. After a day of exploration, you'll settle in Clearwater, and for those eager for more adventure, a gravel road leads to the breathtaking Helmcken Falls.

DAY 13  | CLEARWATER TO JASPER  | 200 miles

A big day in scenery today as we pass through Mt Robson Provincial Park. It is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. After a stop at the park visitor centre we will continue along, first crossing into the next time zone and then crossing into the province of Alberta to find Jasper National Park and the small town of Jasper.

DAY 14  | JASPER TO BANFF | 180 miles

Your ride today to Lake Louise and Banff will lead you through breathtaking glaciers, towering waterfalls, and sparkling mountain lakes as you journey along the renowned Icefields Parkway.

DAY 15  |  BANFF TO CALGARY  | 80 miles

A gentle ride back into Calgary for our final night in BC

DAY 16  |  FLY HOME
