You may have heard - we are officially joining forces with the legends over at Zero Motorcycles!
That’s right, Moto Junkies is now an official Zero Motorcycles Experience Centre and Authorized Service Centre. This isn't just about adding a few new toys to the shed (though we do love new toys); it’s about embracing new way to experience the wild, rugged trails of Snowdonia. We’ve just taken delivery of a shiny new fleet of six electric off-road beasts, the XE and XB models, and we can’t wait for you to get your hands on them.
Whether you’re a die-hard petrol-head who loves the smell of two-stroke in the morning or someone who’s been curious about the EV revolution, this is for you. The future of off-road isn't just coming; it’s parked right here at MotoCamp Wales, fully charged and ready to rip.
Why Electric? (And Why Now?)
If you’ve been following our journey for a while, you’ll know we’re all about the soul of riding. We love the grit, the mud, and the sheer joy of exploring the Welsh wilderness on two wheels. Some of you might be wondering, "Why go electric?" We actually asked ourselves the same question a while back, and we even wrote a bit about it in our post: is electric power the way forward.
After spending some proper time on the Zero bikes, the answer became crystal clear. It’s not about replacing the roar of an engine; it’s about adding a completely new dimension to the ride. Imagine flying through a dense forest or climbing a rocky Snowdonia ridge, and all you can hear is the sound of your tyres gripping the dirt and the wind whistling past your helmet. It’s a surreal, almost meditative experience that brings you closer to the landscape than ever before.

Meet the Fleet: The Zero XE and XB
We didn't just pick any bikes for this partnership. We’ve brought in six machines specifically designed to handle the rough-and-tumble terrain we call home. We’ve got a mix of the Zero XE and the Zero XB, and let us tell you, they are absolute crackers.
The Zero XE: The Trail Dominator
The XE is the "big brother" in this lineup. It’s a proper, full-sized electric trail bike that doesn't know the meaning of the word "quit." With long-travel suspension and enough torque to pull a house down, it’s built for the gnarly stuff. Because it’s electric, that torque is instant. There’s no waiting for the revs to climb; you just twist and go. It makes tackling steep, technical climbs feel like cheating, but the fun kind of cheating!

The Zero XB: Agile and Playful
If the XE is the powerhouse, the XB is the gymnast. It’s lighter, incredibly flickable, and perfect for navigating those tight, twisty woodland trails where agility is king. It’s the kind of bike that makes you feel like a better rider the moment you swing a leg over it. It’s approachable for those new to off-roading but has plenty of pep to keep the seasoned pros grinning from ear to ear.
Silence is Golden: A New Way to Explore Snowdonia
One of the biggest perks of this partnership is how it changes our relationship with the environment. Snowdonia (Eryri) is a breathtakingly beautiful place, and we feel incredibly lucky to operate here. However, as much as we love our traditional bikes, they can be a bit... well, loud.
With the Zero fleet, we’re entering a new era of "stealth" riding. We can explore sensitive areas with minimal impact on the local wildlife and, perhaps more importantly, the local community. It opens up a world of possibilities for eco-friendly adventure. You get all the adrenaline of a traditional off-road session but with zero emissions and almost zero noise. It’s a win-win for everyone.

The Zero X-Line Experience at MotoCamp Wales
We’re not just showing these bikes off; we want you to ride them. As an official Experience Centre, we’ve launched the Zero X-Line Experience.
Based out of our home at MotoCamp Wales, these sessions are designed to give you a proper introduction to the world of electric off-road riding. You’ll get to spend the day testing these bikes on our private trails and guided routes.
We’ve got everything set up to make it a seamless experience. You show up, we give you the lowdown on the tech, and then we head out into the hills. And because there’s no clutch or gears to worry about on these electric bikes, you can focus 100% on your line and your technique. It’s an incredible way to sharpen your skills.

More Than Just a Ride: Authorized Service Centre
We know that for many of you, the barrier to going electric is the "what if it breaks?" factor. Well, we’ve got you covered there, too. Moto Junkies is now an Authorized Zero Motorcycles Service Centre.
Our workshop team has been put through their paces with specialist training from Zero. Whether you already own a Zero and need a service, or you’re thinking of buying one and want the peace of mind that there’s a local hub of experts nearby, we’re your people. We’ve got the diagnostic gear, the parts, and the know-how to keep these high-tech machines running sweet.
What to Expect on a Zero Experience Day
Fancy a go? Here’s a little taster of what a day with us looks like:
The Welcome: Arrive at MotoCamp Wales, grab a brew, and meet the team. We’ll introduce you to the Zero fleet and explain how they work (don't worry, it’s easier than you think!).
The Kit-Up: If you haven’t got your own gear, we can help you out. Safety first, after all!
The Skills Session: We start on the flat to get you used to the instant torque and the lack of a clutch. Most people are "dialled in" within about ten minutes.
Into the Wild: We’ll head out onto the trails of Snowdonia. We'll navigate water splashes, rocky climbs, and muddy tracks.
The Debrief: Back at base for some food and a chat about the day. We’ll probably spend most of this time talking about how weirdly cool it is to ride in silence.

Join the Revolution
We are so excited about this partnership because it feels like the natural next step for Moto Junkies. We’ve always been about pushing boundaries and finding new ways to share our passion for motorcycles. By bringing Zero Motorcycles into the fold, we’re making off-road riding more accessible, more sustainable, and: dare we say it: even more fun.
If you’ve never stayed with us before, you’re missing out. MotoCamp Wales is more than just a base; it’s a community. You can find out more about what it’s like to stay with us in our motorcycle camping guide.
So, are you ready to see what all the fuss is about? Whether you’re a local rider looking for a service or a visitor wanting to try the "Zero X-Line Experience," we can’t wait to welcome you.
The future is silent, it’s torquey, and it’s waiting for you in the heart of Wales. Come and join us: we’ll even shout you a cuppa while we talk bikes!
Ready to book? Head over to our booking services page or drop us a message. Let’s get electric!
