Trail Ride Snowdonia

@MotoCamp Wales

Stay at our biker base in the heart of Snowdonia National Park

Note - Please attend our Train4Trails first if you have no previous off-road experience.

Join us and fellow Moto Junkies for a short biker break at MotoCamp Wales for an evening meal and a chinwag, before settling into one of our lodges for the night, or take a walk around our 20-acre site and enjoy the sunset from our natural bench - a fallen beach tree - that offers a spectacular 360 view, with the sunset on one side and Cadair Idris on the other. Walk around our woods for a little owl spotting at dusk, or enjoy our campfire which offers a beautiful view across the grounds.

The following morning we will meet you after breakfast which you will take in your lodge (bacon, eggs, bread, milk, and cereal provided), and start our ride around the beautiful Snowdonia National Park around 9 am.

Our groups take a steady day, going at a pace to suit you and the terrain, and enjoying the scenery with an expert guide who will offer advice as and when required.

Wales has an abundance of beautiful back roads and byways, and our local knowledge will see you make the most of what's available.

We will stop for lunch at one of the local cafes.  We'll also stop at a couple of local beauty spots along the way. This is a relaxed day with the promise of many giggles and highlights - but do expect the odd challenge and do expect mud and rocks!

Tea and freshly made cakes from our famous local bakery await you upon your return.

Saturday night we will settle in with an evening 2-course meal made from local produce and cooked by our award-wining chef. There is no doubt we will regale all the day's spills and thrills over a beer around the campfire to finish off. Wine is provided with your meal but bring your own beer.

On Sunday we will take in more road and trail and loosely finish around 3 pm allowing you time to load up and get home in good time. You can add an extra night or two if you wish on a self-catering basis. There are plenty of activities in the area from mountain biking to walking, to just chilling at our stunning base with a good book (extra nights are subject to availability. Please contact us to enquire).

These events are suitable for all levels and will be adapted to the groups' abilities. However, Welsh trails can be challenging and we cover many miles on rocky and sometimes slippery terrain. If you have never been off the tarmac, you must attend our Train4Trails day first to gain the basic skills required for trail riding.

To ensure a smooth flow for each group, we offer two options. Please ensure you book on the correct dates to suit your riding ability.

Easy going

This event is suitable for all levels, but if you book on this day, expect a mixed ability group. We are likely to take a slower pace and cover fewer miles allowing for photos and an overall more relaxed approach.

Bring your own bike or hire one of ours.

These days are for confident trail riders only, please. The trials will at times be challenging and physical, so please don't choose this day if you have little previous experience. Dates are shown separately for these on the booking calendar.

You will need a suitable dual-sport bike for this event (we do not offer bike hire for Intermediate). If you are not sure if your bike is suitable then please contact us before booking.
