Join us and fellow Moto Junkies for a short biker break at Baskerville Hall Hotel, Hay-on-Wye.

This is the first of our "Explore with Moto Junkies" series where we will explore various trails around the UK. Join us on your own bike or hire one of our Honda CRFs and take a weekend break in some of the UK's prettiest places. 

​

The weekends will be aimed at the easygoing trail rider. This will not be suitable for those who want to race through the countryside. 

​

Hay-on-Wye, simply known locally as "Hay", is a market town and community in Powys, Wales. With over twenty bookshops, it is often described as "the town of books" and is the National Book Town of Wales. It is a beautiful place to potter around and the town centre is around 1.5 miles from Baskerville Hall. Hay is also home to two international festivals: great writers, thinkers, artists, and musicians share their big ideas at Hay Festival and How The Light Gets In. Beyond its cultural life, Hay’s location makes it an ideal base for outdoor adventures like trail riding.

Check into your room on Friday and enjoy a relaxed afternoon before joining us for dinner in the evening. Saturday will be spent trail riding in the area, taking lunch at a local cafe before heading back to the hotel with enough time for a swim or a ride into town before our 2-course evening meal at the hotel. 

​

On Sunday we will take in more road and trail and loosely finish around 3 pm allowing you time to load up and get home in good time.

​

This is a relaxed weekend with the promise of many giggles and highlights - but do expect the odd challenge and do expect mud and rocks! 

​

These events are suitable for all levels and will be adapted to the groups' abilities. However, Welsh trails can be challenging and we cover many miles on rocky and sometimes slippery terrain.

 

If you have never been off the tarmac, you must attend our Train4Trails day first to gain the basic skills required for trail riding.
