Partner and Guide
Steph Jeavons is an author, journalist, and adventurer who, in April 2018, completed a solo around-the-world (RTW) trip that took her to all 7 continents. The journey lasted a few days short of four years, during which she logged 53 countries and over 74,000 miles on a 250cc Honda named Rhonda!
Since her return Steph has guided at home and abroad. In 2018 she led the first group of all women bikers to Everest Base Camp in Tibet on Royal Enfields.
Previous to that, Steph set up and ran Honda UK's official off-road school. Steph has also been a support truck driver, a freelance guide, and...well...a Zoo Keeper!
Steph has worked with many charities over the years and is keen to create a business and community that gives back wherever possible. She is also very keen to ensure that Moto Junkies and its community leave as little trace as possible on this beautiful land.
Steph is passionate about creating an environment that is inclusive of all types of riders and loves nothing more than to share her passion with like-minded people.
Gary started riding motorbikes in 1971, progressing through a series of assorted single and twin cylinder Brit bikes and then onto a baby GSXR400 in the early part of this century. The GSXR took him all round Europe on a trip through the Balkans, twice down to the Pyrenees, and countless rides around the Lake District, Yorkshire, and Scotland. His favourite riding venue however is Wales, where he has lived for the last 35 years. A good deal of that time has been spent exploring the highways, backroads, and byways of this glorious and infinitely varied landscape.
His current personal two wheeled transport since 2010 is a 21 year old, high mileage Suzuki SV650s.
Born into a biking family Gary has had a lifelong passion for anything two-wheels ever since.
Gary holds a Level 2 Overland Guide Certificate and Motorcycle Specific Remote Area First Aid Certificate. He has 42-years competition experience in Trials,Motocross,Classic Scrambles, Enduro and Extreme Enduro. He's been road riding for 30 years, green laning for 20 years, and in the last five years has even taken to mountain bike marathons. NO ENGINE! What's that all about?
I think you can safely say he is well qualified!
Gary is also an all round nice guy and very handy to have around when you're stuck in a rut!
